In recent years, the demand for online horn recordings has increased enormously. Although Hans’ home recording studio has been very well equipped since 2012, he recently upgraded the studio with better acoustics, better microphones, and better converters. Now it is possible to receive the requested recordings in the best possible quality in only a few days. You can choose between an AKG C-414 condenser mic and a Royer R-121 Ribbon mic. The full list of gear can be found at the bottom of this page.
The possibilities for the recordings range from solo part(s) to a complete horn section. It’s possible to do a mixture of a live trumpet, flugelhorn, and valve trombone in combination with saxophone samples, or an online collaboration of multiple horn players. Depending on the nature of the project, Hans will inform you of the best approach and discuss his thoughts with you.
Interested in online horns for your project? Fill out the form below, be as detailed as possible, and include an audio file (and sheet music) of the song if possible. Hans will contact you within 2 working days.
